Smith Camps is completely equipped so that families can enjoy a fabulous vacation at one stop. Fishing equipment is available for sale or just to use for the day, along with a large variety of bait and lures. 

Catch gigantic trophy muskies, or jig for some tasty walleye. Lake of the Woods is suitable for all fisherman, new or old.

Fishing

Lake of the Woods is well known for excellent fishing for many different types of fish.

• Small mouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Jumbo Perch, Muskie and Lake Trout all available in immediate waters, even off our docks!
• Aluminum Boats with 20 or 25 HP motors available for rental, or bring your own.
• Fly-in Fishing to remote lakes can be arranged for day fishing.
• Fishing Guides available but not necessary. 

Guided trips

Al Smith is an Ontario Licensed Guide and registered Fur Manager.
Al is also a member of the North American Hunting Club, and a 3rd generation Life Member of NRA

Al guided his first fishermen in 1973, as a young teenager, and continues to operate daily.
Trips are either from our base camp or from our remote boat-in camp 30 miles South.

Al's 26 ft custom designed aluminum guide boat equipped with a 225 hp outboard motor and all the toys, will keep you safe and comfortable.
For those with a sense of adventure, we can charter a float plane and the sky's the limit. To date our explorations have taken 400 miles North in search of 5 lb wild Brook Trout with fly rods.
